Lead QA Analyst

TrustCommerce (South Coast Metro, California), an established company, is looking to immediately hire a “Lead QA Analyst” for full-time, in-house employment. TrustCommerce develops and maintains technology-oriented, merchant service solutions in the payment card industry.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the CIO, the Lead QA Analyst is responsible for leading large projects and designing/implementing appropriate test plans for TrustCommerce products. Additional responsibilities of a Lead QA Analyst may include, but are not limited to the following:

Creating and executing test plans and test cases, automating test cases, and contributing to regression test suites. The Lead QA Analyst works closely with other test engineers to support the delivery of previously released and newly developed software, and to ensure TrustCommerce products meet and exceed marketing requirements, technical specifications, and customer expectations.

Essential Functions:

  • Take lead role in managing large Projects and major initiatives, leading additional QA Engineers as required
  • Follow prescribed software quality policies and practices to perform testing of assigned TrustCommerce software
  • Create, review and interpret test plans to ensure completeness of product testing
  • Participate in test strategy definition and recommend implementation improvements in testing methodology
  • Identify, document and manage software defects from discovery through verification
  • Participate in daily meetings, research defect root cause analysis and reporting as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 7+ years of professional software testing experience with 3-5 years of test automation experience
  • Leading small quality teams on large or specialized projects preferred
  • Proficient in scripting languages and working knowledge of high level programming languages
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server with ability to write complex queries and manage replication
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio Test Suite.
  • Must exhibit excellent organization, time management, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Must exhibit good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and the payment industry preferred
  • Highly organized and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
