System Administrator, Sr.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Technology, the System Administrator will be responsible to ensure dependability, performance, security, and endurability for all operational and infrastructural aspects of hosted/managed solutions as well as other information technology.  This role will include system provisioning, daily administration and operation, system health management, automation, and system security and integrity.  Additionally, the System Administrator will be expected to perform advanced diagnostic, troubleshooting, documentation, and reporting tasks.  System Administrator will be responsible to coordinate and lead the work of others, as well as be expected to regularly collaborate with non-technical staff.

Responsibilities will include:

•    High-Availability (24x7) System, Network, and Data Operations
•    System, Network, and Database Provisioning & Administration
•    Technological Security & Integrity
•    Standardization, Documentation, and Compliance
•    Development Infrastructure
•    Configuration & Release Management
•    Desktop & Technical Support
•    Business Operations: e.g., Mail, Basic VoIP Management, Ticketing

Requirements include:

•    Expertise in High-Availability, Enterprise Systems (Dependability, Performance, Security, Endurability)
•    Expertise in Linux/GNU Operations, Administration, Security/Integrity, Troubleshooting, Optimization
•    Expertise in Linux/UNIX Security: Intrusion Detection/Prevention, Filtering, Auditing, Recovery
•    Expertise in Networking: Routing, Switching, Filtering
•    Proficiency in LAMP-Based Systems
•    Proficiency in Scripting: Bash, Perl, Python, and PHP
•    Proficiency in Database Administration: MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL; PL/SQL is a Plus
•    Proficiency in Cisco IOS, ExtremeWare, F5
•    Experience with Policy/Procedure-Driven System Administration
•    Experience with Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) is a Plus
•    Experience with Project and Task Management is a Plus
